DESCRIPTION

Leonforte Nero D'Avola Sicilia 2020 D.O.C 13% (Red) Farming of grapes: This wine is obtained from the Nero D'Avola grape, grown in the old vineyards selected in the municipalities within Sicily.  The thermal values characterize a rather warm texture, with little annual rainfall and very high-temperature ranges; ideal conditions that have a positive influence on the quality of the grapes. A Row orientation system is used for planting.  The harvest takes place during the first half of October. Vinification: After careful selection, the grapes are de-stemmed, then, very gently, crushed, causing as little damage as possible to the skins. The maceration of the grapes is done in stainless steel tanks for about 6-8 days, followed by 8 months of fermentation in cement tanks. Then the wine is refined for 5 months in the bottle prior to release.
