Colonna 1557 Roma Rosso 2020 D.O.C 13 % (Red) Vinification: After careful selection, the grapes are de-stemmed and then very gently crushed, causing as little damage as possible to the skins. The vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of volcanic rock. The grapes for this red wine from Italy are, at the time of optimal ripeness, exclusively harvested by hand. After the hand harvest, the grapes immediately reach the winery. Here they are selected and carefully broken open. Fermentation follows in large wood at controlled temperatures. The fermentation is followed by maturation for several months in small barriques.
