Raboso del Piave 2013 IGP

The colour is ruby red. On the nose, red ripe fruit with a softness of oak. On the palate, acidity, tannins and flavour are elegant and balanced. The tannin is sweet thanks to the long maturation in old barriques. Notes of ripe blackberry and ripe cherry are perceived wrapped in an alcohol content that gives a sensation of sweet warmth in the mouth. Long and persistent. It is a wine destined for longevity. Its evolution will give us further nuances. This wine goes perfectly well with red meat, especially braised, mixed grills, stews, and mature cheeses. Ideally served at a temperature of 18-20°C.

Vinification

After maceration on the skins, at controlled temperature, for 30 days and crushing, the wine was decanted to steel vats where it stayed until the malolactic fermentation process was finished. The wine was then transferred to a used tonneau where it was left to age for 7 years. The length of ageing softens the typical rustic nature of this wine made from vines native to the Treviso region.
