An excellent wine coming from the vineyards of DO Ribera del Duero and DO Toro which has been aged for 6 months in American oak barrels. The wine has a cherry, deep ruby red colour with bluish hues. On the nose, it has a complex and intense bouquet of strawberries, raspberries and berries. Also, an oaky scent from ageing. A rounded and balanced taste where fruit, oak and spices dominate the aftertaste. Pleasant tannins, soft and delicate. This wine pairs excellently well with pâtes, foies and red meats. Ideally served at a temperature range of 15-17°C.
It is a mix of sand consisting of silt and clay which alternates with layers of chalky limestone.
Continental weather. Cold winter and extremely hot and dry summer with important differences in temperature between day and night.
The harvest takes place at the beginning of October. Macerated in skins for 12 days with several pump-overs. Alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 26-28°C. The wine is aged for 6 months in barrels of American oaks where the malolactic fermentation takes place.
