Chamelin Roble 2018 14% (Red Wine) (Spain)
It is a mix of sand consisting of silt and clay which alternates with layers of chalky limestone.
Continental weather. Cold winter and extremely hot and dry summer with important differences in temperature between day and night.
Yield ranges from 3.000 kgs to 5.000 per hectare. Grapes are collected manually in small crates of 14 kgs to be later selected by their quality. Destemmed and gently crushed, the must goes into the tanks. Fermented at 23-26°C, using selected yeasts and is vatted for a duration of 18 days. The wine is then aged for 6 months in barrels of American oak.
