A stunning Red Wine derived from the precious Aglianico grape, harvested at full maturity around the month of October. It is vinified in contact with the skins for a medium to long period. This produces an intense ruby colour with delicate scents of red fruits. The taste is dry, harmonious and velvety. This wine goes well with game, red meats and hard cheeses. Farming of the grapes: This wine is obtained from Aglianico grape, grown in limestone-clay soils at an altitude of 150-350 m.a.s.l. Located on the slopes of the Regional Park of Taburno-Camposauro. An espalier farming system is employed giving a yield of 180 hectares from wines with an average age of 15 years. The harvest takes place during the month of October.
Vinification: The grapes are harvested by hand and conferred to the winery. There follows the de-stemming and soft pressing. The vinification is carried out by maceration with the skins, which are continuously re-submerged into the must for 10 days. The fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. The wine is then aged in large oak casks for at least 6 months, finalising with maturation in the bottle.
